Davor, thanks for sharing your experience. I had never thought of using AI in this way. Not sure why it never occurred to me. But this will be very helpful especially when I am stuck in decision making and it could act as a good sounding board. You are absolutely correct, that it is reflecting back our own thoughts back but with clarity and truthfulness that sometimes we either ignore or fail to see.

Just try it out. I would say that it's especially good for those who struggle with decision making, like myself, and, you said it - yourself.

That is fascinating! I have only heard negativity about AI but from this perspective, I am curious now, but mildly paranoid about typing out something personal into the big AI machine. Thank you for sharing and curious to see from a purely experimental point what it has to say about maybe some more guarded topics.

From my perspective and current experience, I see only positives, since it gave me clarity, and made me a better writer. It’s like having patient and compassionate mentor for free🤗

A few moments ago, I asked it for advice on my next change in gear. I have to say I'm super impressed with the results! Once I clarified a few things like, "no, I already have all the Nikon lenses I need," it spit out a decision for me. When I said I wasn't ready to spend that much on gear at the moment, it told me to expect that camera to go on sale in the fall and suggested that if I can't wait, there's alternative- and the one it offered made sense. It also offered to set up price alerts for my original camera I said was too pricey.

I'm glad it gave you smart advice. :)

What fascinates me the most is that it often tells you something you already know deep down, but maybe don’t have full clarity about.

When I read its reflections on my words, I often get goosebumps — sometimes I’m even moved to tears. Those are actually confirmations of my own truth.

By the way, I’m currently writing about how to use AI as a writing advisor — without letting it take over, and in a way that keeps the text completely authentic. I’ll be publishing it soon, maybe even tomorrow.

Thank you for reading and for your comment.

Good night from here! :)

Juliette, I'm so glad that you are experiencing AI and all of the wonderful, helpful things it can do for all of us. Like Davor, I have used AI as a therapist, and honestly, I've been moved to tears by the unique, original responses I received. AI is a wonderful tool, and I'm so glad to have met Davor. He is a sincere, super-intelligent gentleman, and already I have learned so much from him. I feel as if I have found a kindred spirit, as our use of AI in our writing is much the same. So have fun, Juliette, and honey, don't take any of this too seriously. If it's not fun, honey, it's not worth doing. Be true to you before you are true to your audience. Have an awesome day.

Thanks for your very kind words. It is funny to say that AI feels like a soulmate. I mean, I know that it is AI, yet it is so compassionate. Textbook perfect!:)

Sweet words about your friend, Davor. Very nice... Thank you for the advice, well taken. I am definitely having fun, nothing but! I am just not interested in sharing my deeply personal thoughts to AI, but I totally respect that others do.

Interesting read! I’ve used ChatGPT for some oddball things since it often gives more direct answers than googling something. I never thought of using it this way. I may just give it a try!

Davor, thank you for sharing! You are not alone, I do have a friend who uses AI for similar reasons. He shared with me few snapshots of those conversations and it was a pure literary delight to read.

It is amazing how capable it is, and yet so affordable, in front of our nose:)

Thanks for reading and commenting.

This is the most positive opinion about AI I have heard so far. I have never even considered AI as a tool for gaining clarity. While I totally believe that you have had this great experience with it, I remain rather skeptical when it comes to AI overall, but I also have not engaged much with it very much. I am skeptical of anything replacing a human mind. :) I am worried about its overall consequences on our society, education, on our kids etc…

However, I am intrigued by this and how you described what it has done for you.

And I admit that any new technology has its advantages that, if used in the right way, are wonderful additions to our lives.

I guess, I have little trust in our society or government to set the appropriate boundaries and avoid the damages.

However, I am very tempted to try what you have done and see how it goes. Curiosity is a wonderful thing!

I wonder what other people have to say about this?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Manuela for reading. I find AI to be a tremendous tool for gaining a clarity, because it only reflects what you already know (here I'm not talking about technical stuff), and when I read it, I FEEL that that is truth for me. Try it out for 15 or 30 mins and see how you will like it. I believe that you will find it rewarding because by digging inside your core, you are making a step towards your authenticity. Btw, yesterday, I was reading our corespondation to a friend who knows me the best, and he was very impressed with the quality of AI's reflections.
